Potato Moa

German breeding for impeccable marketability

The 'Moa' potato variety is a product of the German breeding company NORIKA Nordring-Kartoffelzucht-und Vermehrungs GmbH, officially registered in Ukraine in 2026. This variety is tailored for professional cultivation, where yield stability and strict requirements for tuber appearance are paramount.

Purpose and culinary qualities

The primary focus of this hybrid is the fresh market. The tubers feature a uniform shape and attractive skin, making them highly desirable for retail chains. The variety performs exceptionally well during culinary processing: the flesh maintains its structure, does not darken after boiling, and offers a balanced flavor profile suitable for a wide range of everyday dishes.

Logistics and storage

Moa was developed with modern transport requirements in mind. Its firm skin and resistance to mechanical damage minimize losses during long-distance shipping. The variety is characterized by a long dormancy period, ensuring excellent storability in warehouse conditions without losing market quality until late spring.

• High marketability: minimal waste during sorting.
• Resistance to flesh darkening: maintains an ideal appearance when peeled and cooked.
• Transportability: capable of withstanding intensive logistics without compromising quality.

Choosing Moa is an investment in a predictable outcome that satisfies both the end consumer and wholesale buyers who value supply consistency.
