Lace Parsley is a mid-season parsley variety known for its high yield and powerful green rosette with a large number of leaves. The plant's leaves are dark green, tender, and possess a bright aroma with a spicy and bitter taste. The yield of greens reaches up to 2 kg per square meter, making this variety particularly valuable for growing both at home and in home gardens. The greens grow back quickly after cutting, allowing you to harvest fresh leaves several times per season.
The plant is perennial, growing to about 50-55 cm in height, with a branched round stem and long-stalked egg-shaped leaves that are twice- or threetimes-pinnatifid and have a matte-green hue. The flowers are large and yellow. Lace Parsley has good winter hardiness, allowing it to be grown in one place for 6-8 years as a decorative and spice-flavor plant.
Parsley greens withstand heat treatment well and impart a special aroma to dishes, improving their taste and color. It is widely used in home cooking in fresh, dried, and frozen forms, as well as as a seasoning and additive for pickles and marinades. Young leaves are used to flavor vinegar, tea, and liqueurs, however, it should be noted that the plant can be poisonous in large quantities.
