PLAIN — a mid-season leaf parsley variety, distinguished by a powerful and well-developed semi-erect leaf rosette of medium density. The leaves are large, triangular in shape, long-stalked, and feature a deep green, saturated color with a smooth and glossy surface. They possess a pleasant, rich aroma and maintain an intense green hue throughout the entire growth period without yellowing. The stems are strong and of medium height, ensuring plant stability and ease of harvest.
The PLAIN variety is characterized by high yield — up to 5.5 kg of greens per square meter with multiple cuttings and harvesting throughout the season. Due to rapid regeneration after cutting, a minimum of three harvests can be obtained during the main season from May to October. The plant is resistant to various leaf diseases, including powdery mildew, and also exhibits good cold and heat tolerance, allowing it to be grown in diverse climatic conditions.
For successful cultivation, PLAIN is recommended to be planted on fertile, loose loamy or sandy loam soils. Seeds are sown directly into open ground at the end of April to early May, as well as at the end of July and in autumn. To ensure rapid growth and high-quality greens, plants should be thinned, watered regularly, and the rows between plants should be loosened. PLAIN parsley is widely used fresh and is also suitable for drying, freezing, and canning, thereby preserving its taste and aromatic qualities.
