The "FAIRYTALE" variety belongs to a medium-sized loquat tree obtained through selection by the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. The tree is characterized by a widely round and well-leafed crown, making it an attractive landscape element. The tree height usually does not exceed 1–1.5 meters, and the leaves are dark green, oval, and glossy, providing bright green coverage throughout the year.
The fruits of the "FAIRYTALE" variety are large, weighing from 270 to 310 grams. They are round in shape with a slightly ribbed surface, giving them a characteristic appearance. The flesh is light cream, juicy, and very fragrant, with a rich sweet-sour taste. The chemical composition of the fruits includes 15.8% dry matter, 9.4% sugars, 0.60% titratable acids, and 20.3 mg/100 g of ascorbic acid.
The variety is widely used in technical processing due to its qualities. Loquat "FAIRYTALE" grows easily on various types of fertile soil, preferring sunny places, but is able to withstand slight shading and adverse climatic conditions. The plant establishes itself well thanks to shallow roots, making it resistant to drought and floods. Thanks to these properties, "FAIRYTALE" is valuable for both gardeners and industrial production.
