POMPEO

Pompeo F1 — a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid of sweet pepper of the Lamuyo type, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The vegetative period ranges from 60 to 110 days depending on growing conditions and counting from seedling transplanting or germination. The plant is strong, medium-height, and exhibits high resistance to high temperatures, drought, plant lodging, and various diseases, including blossom end rot and tobacco mosaic virus (Tm0), as well as moderate resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV).

The fruits of this hybrid are large, elongated-cuboid or cylindrical in shape, 12–13 cm long and 8–9 cm in diameter, with a wall thickness of 7–10 mm. The weight of one fruit ranges from 300 to 400 grams. In technical ripeness, the fruits are green, turning into a rich red color upon biological ripeness. The fruits are dense, heavy, and have good storability, making them convenient for storage and transportation.

Pompeo F1 has a high content of dry matter (6.0–7.8%), total sugar (2.7–3.8%), and ascorbic acid (110–190 mg per 100 g of raw product), ensuring excellent taste and nutritional value. Due to these characteristics, the hybrid is widely used in various climatic conditions and is suitable for commercial cultivation, providing a stable and high-quality yield.
