Halif

Halif pepper is an early hybrid of sweet pepper, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The ripening period is 100-105 days from germination, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is medium-height, 50-80 cm tall, with dense and evenly shaped cube-shaped fruits. In technical ripeness, the fruits have a milky-white or greenish-white hue, while in biological ripeness they turn light red or red. Fruit size reaches 10-12 cm in length and 8-10 cm in diameter, weight varies from 180 to 210 g, wall thickness is 7-9 mm, ensuring good density and storability of the fruits.

The hybrid is highly resistant to major diseases such as tobacco mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, and blossom-end rot. It is also tolerant to various temperature conditions, enabling successful fruit set both at high and low temperatures. For planting, pregerminated seeds at a temperature of 25-28°C are recommended, which germinate approximately on day 15. The optimal planting density is 2-4 plants per square meter, and the age of seedlings for transplanting is 50-60 days.

Halif pepper is distinguished by its high commercial and taste qualities, making it versatile for fresh consumption and processing. The yield of the hybrid reaches up to 14 kg per square meter, confirming its high productivity. Glossy, thick-walled fruits with excellent taste and attractive appearance make this variety popular among gardeners and farmers.
