Description ALADINA LAMP
The Aladina Lamp pepper variety is an ornamental, spicy type with a compact bush reaching 25 to 50 cm in height. The plant features a stem-like form and small conical fruits pointing upwards. Fruits weigh 2.5 to 5 grams and display a variety of colors changing during ripening: from green and salad to cream, purple, red, and raspberry shades. On one bush, fruits of different colors may appear simultaneously, giving the plant a striking decorative appearance. Fruit surface is smooth and glossy, with a wall thickness of up to 1.5 mm. The taste is spicy with distinct fruity notes, and the aroma is strong. Vitamin C content in the fruits reaches 350 mg%. The Aladina Lamp variety is suitable for cultivation in various conditions: greenhouses, open ground, and indoors on windowsills, balconies, and terraces. Seeds are sown in February-March, with seedlings emerging in 2-3 weeks at 24-28 °C. To promote branching, pinch the plants above the 15-17th node. When warm weather arrives (not below 15 °C), the bushes can be moved outdoors. During active growth, the pepper requires frequent watering and regular misting. During fruit set, complex fertilizers are added to irrigation water, and fertilization stops after harvest. Aladina Lamp pepper is valued not only for its decorative qualities but also for its high yield — up to 1.2 kg per square meter. Fruits are used in cooking to prepare spicy sauces, seasonings, and marinades, and are suitable for preservation and drying as spices. The variety is distinguished by early ripening — fruits are ready for harvest 90-120 days after germination, usually in July-September. The plant is relatively resistant to diseases and does not require special pruning, simplifying care and cultivation.
