Jafar

Jafar F1 pepper is an early hybrid of hot pepper, selected by the Dutch company Bakker Brothers, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The ripening period is approximately 70 days, allowing for early harvest. The plant is vigorous, high-yielding, with good foliage and uniform fruit set. The hybrid is resistant to sudden temperature fluctuations and requires minimal care, making it suitable for various cultivation methods, including seedling and direct sowing. Jafar pepper fruits have an elongated-conical shape, reaching up to 19 cm in length and about 2-2.6 cm in diameter at the stem, weighing 20-25 g. In technical ripeness, they are dark green, and in biological ripeness, they turn into a rich red. The pepper has an intense, moderately spicy flavor, without micro-cracks, ensuring good marketability and long-term storage and transportation without quality loss. Due to these characteristics, the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing and canning. The Jafar F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to major viral diseases such as tobacco mosaic virus and potato Y virus, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss. These features, along with stable growth and high yield, make this variety attractive for commercial cultivation. The pepper is widely used in culinary applications, thanks to its spicy flavor and attractive appearance, allowing it to be used both fresh and in various culinary and canned products.
