SLADKOYEGKA

The pepper variety 'Sladkojeka' is early maturing and distinguished by one of the largest fruit sizes among similar varieties. The maturation period is 100–105 days from germination to technical ripeness, allowing cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The plant is low-growing, compact, with shortened internodes and medium-sized, green, slightly wrinkled leaves.

The fruits of this variety have a conical shape, medium-ribbed, with 2–3 chambers and wall thickness from 5 to 9 mm. Fruit length is 10–12 cm, weight varies from 140 to 220 g. As they ripen, the color changes from light green to glossy red. The fruits are juicy, sweet, and aromatic, providing excellent taste qualities. Due to this, they can be used for fresh vitamin salads as well as for home preservation.

A distinctive feature of the variety is the combination of large fruit size and early maturing, making it attractive for gardeners. For cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of February, with pinching in the cotyledon stage and transplanting into the ground at the end of May. Plant shaping includes removal of side shoots and leaves up to the first fork. The optimal planting scheme is 40x80 cm. The yield of marketable fruits under plastic coverings reaches 5.7–5.9 kg per square meter.
