Pepper Lantern

Pepper variety "LANTERN" is an early or mid-early hybrid, maturing in 105–115 days. The plant is of medium height, with shortened internodes and medium leafiness, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Bushes are compact with strong stems, facilitating care and harvest. Fruits have a conical shape, 10–12 cm long, with 2–3 chambers and juicy walls 5–6 mm thick. Immature fruits are light green, while mature fruits turn sun-yellow. The weight of one fruit ranges from 140 to 200 grams.

The "LANTERN" variety is versatile in use. Fruits are recommended for fresh consumption and are widely used in home cooking. They retain their flavor and aroma well during freezing, making them convenient for long-term storage. Due to their juicy, meaty flesh, peppers are suitable for preparing various dishes, including hot appetizers and salads.

Cultivation of this variety involves sowing seedlings at the end of February, followed by transplanting when the cotyledons appear. Transplanting into the ground is done at the end of May, following a planting scheme of 40x80 cm. To shape the bush, side branches and leaves should be removed before the first fork, promoting better fruit development and increased yield. This variety is prized for its high taste quality, juiciness, and attractive appearance of fruits.
