Yuzhanin

The "YUZHANIN" pepper variety is a medium-maturing sweet pepper suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers. The plant is semi-spreading, medium-height, reaching about 80 cm, with a compact bush shape. Fruits have a cube-shaped, slightly flattened form, glossy surface, and large size — up to 15 cm long and weighing from 160 to 300 grams. In technical maturity, they are dark green, and in biological maturity, they turn yellow or dark red. The fruit wall thickness varies from 6 to 14 mm, making them fleshy and juicy.

This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 12 kg per square meter under plastic covers, as well as vigorous growth and continuous fruiting. Due to their dense walls and large size, the fruits are ideal for stuffing, pickling, making relish, and whole-fruit canning. The flesh has a sweet, pleasant, spicy, and aromatic flavor, making the pepper a versatile ingredient for various dishes — from fresh salads and stews to sauces and soups. Additionally, "YUZHANIN" tolerates frost and long-distance transportation, maintaining its market appearance.

The "YUZHANIN" pepper is rich in vitamins and microelements, including vitamin C, which exceeds even lemon in content, as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, E, calcium, iron, and antioxidants. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use seedlings planted in the ground after stable warm weather has been established. The crop requires fertile, light soil, adequate moisture, and warmth; however, temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius may slow plant development and reduce fruit quality. This variety is an excellent choice for both amateur gardening and commercial cultivation.
