Macho

The MACHO pepper variety is an early-maturing, fast-growing type with good fruit set. The plant is bushy, semi-spreading, reaching 40-45 cm in height, and exhibits exceptional cold resistance, allowing it to withstand spring frosts and temperature fluctuations. All parts of the plant contain a high amount of anthocyanin — a purple pigment that further enhances cold tolerance. The period from full emergence to the technical ripeness of the fruits is 87-95 days.

Fruits of the MACHO variety have an original coloration: they are black in technical ripeness and bright cherry-red in biological ripeness. The fruits are conical, drooping, with 3-4 chambers, averaging 120-125 g in weight, and wall thickness of 4-5 mm. The internal partitions of the fruit also have an anthocyanin-cherry hue. The fruits possess a strong, pleasant spicy aroma and juicy, flavorful flesh.

Bushes are semi-spreading, with 6-8 fruits ripening simultaneously on a single plant. The variety is suitable for cultivation in protected ground, where a good yield can be achieved with proper care. Due to its characteristics and unique appearance, MACHO pepper is ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and making various sauces.
