Pepper LILAC GLITTER

LILAC GLITTER — an early-maturing pepper variety distinguished by its abundant yield and unique fruit coloration. The plant is semi-spreading, of medium height (35–40 cm), and can produce up to 12 fruits per plant. Fruits are conical and drooping; they are lilac-colored in technical ripeness and turn dark red in biological ripeness. Fruit weight ranges from 57 to 200 grams, with wall thickness between 5 to 11 mm, ensuring good flavor and market quality. The variety is resistant to low temperatures, expanding its cultivation possibilities. LILAC GLITTER is versatile in use and suitable for cultivation both in plastic greenhouses and in open ground. It can even be grown as a houseplant. Prefers sunny locations with light, fertile, and neutral pH soils. For successful cultivation, crop rotation with carrots, cabbage, beets, legumes (excluding beans), and cucurbits is recommended. Avoid planting near cucumbers. The variety is grown using seedlings: seeds are sown in February into seed trays with soil mix to a depth of no more than 1 cm. Trays are covered with plastic or glass and placed in a warm location at 23–25°C for germination. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground in early June, spaced 40x40 cm apart. The pepper prefers infrequent but abundant watering with warm water and responds well to nitrogen fertilizers, promoting robust growth and high yields.
