Description
Levada Pepper is a mid-season hybrid of sweet bell pepper, distinguished by high yield and large fruits. The plant is strong, up to 140 cm tall, with good leafiness and semi-branching bush. The cylindrical fruits reach 18 cm in length and about 10 cm in diameter, weighing 200-300 grams each. In technical ripeness, they are dark green, and in biological ripeness, they turn bright red. The flesh is fleshy and has a rich sweet flavor, making this pepper an excellent choice for salads and making lecho.
The Levada hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, as well as pests and diseases, which significantly simplifies its cultivation both in greenhouses and in open ground. Seeds germinate at 25-28°C within approximately 15 days, and it is recommended to sow only pre-germinated seeds. The optimal planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter. The fruit ripening period is 75-80 days from seedling transplant.
The Levada pepper has a high yield: in open ground, it exceeds 8 kg per square meter, and in protected ground, it reaches about 14 kg, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation. Due to its characteristics and resistance, Levada pepper is suitable for various climatic conditions and ensures a stable and high-quality harvest.
