KINJAL

Kinjal is a medium-early maturing variety of hot pepper suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings. From seedling emergence to the first fruit ripening, it takes an average of 100-105 days. The plant reaches a height of 50-60 cm and has a semi-spreading bush form. For planting, a spacing of 30x40 cm is recommended; seedlings are sown at the end of February with transplanting in the cotyledon stage. Seedlings are transplanted into the ground or greenhouse by the end of May. During cultivation, it is important to prune, removing all lateral branches and leaves up to the first fork, which promotes better development of main fruits. Kinjal pepper fruits have a narrow-conical shape with a slight curve and transverse wavy base. Their length is 15-16 cm, weight ranges from 90 to 130 g, and wall thickness is 4-5 mm. Immature fruits are green, while ripe ones develop a glossy bright red color. The flavor is medium-hot, making them suitable for both fresh use and preservation. Due to their shape and spiciness, Kinjal peppers are ideal for various culinary purposes. Additionally, this variety is known for its high yield, especially when grown in plastic greenhouses, where yields can reach 5-6 kg per square meter. The fruit walls' thickness ensures their density and good storage and transport durability.
