HULIGAN HABANERO

Habanero pepper is a super-high-yield, early-maturing Mexican selection variety, distinguished by its high drought and adverse growing condition resistance. The plants are low-growing, reaching up to 50 cm in height, allowing successful cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings. Fruits ripen 115-125 days after sowing, changing color from dark green to red, indicating full maturity.

Habanero fruits have a small conical shape with a smooth surface and glossy sheen. Their weight ranges from 70 to 90 grams. A key feature of this variety is its thick, juicy wall, 6-8 mm thick, which imparts a medium-spicy flavor. Due to this, the pepper is widely used fresh as a seasoning for diverse Georgian, Caucasian, and Mexican cuisine dishes, stimulating appetite and enhancing taste sensations.

To preserve the harvest for winter, it is recommended to marinate the fruits while still green and unripe. Sowing seeds for seedlings is done at the end of February, transplanting seedlings into individual pots at the cotyledon stage, and planting seedlings into the ground or greenhouse at the end of May. For shaping the bush, all lateral shoots and leaves should be removed up to the first fork. The optimal planting scheme is 30x40 cm, ensuring good access to plants and promoting high yields of spicy fruits.
