Kaptur

Sweet Pepper Kaptur F1 — an early-maturing hybrid type Kapia, developed by breeders of the Dutch company Seminis. The vegetation period is 70-75 days from seedling transplanting. The plant is strong, medium to tall, with sturdy stems and significant leaf mass. For optimal growth, staking or tying is recommended. The hybrid is intended for open-field cultivation but also demonstrates good yield in protected environments.

Kaptur peppers have large fruits — length reaches 18-20 cm, width 6-7 cm, average weight 160-180 grams. They are flat-conical or conical in shape, with wall thickness of 6-9 mm. The fruits are two- or three-chambered, glossy, with succulent and flavorful flesh, high dry matter content. Fruit color changes from dark green at technical maturity to intense dark red at biological ripeness. The peppers retain quality and flavor well when harvested and stored.

The Kaptur hybrid exhibits high productivity, forming about 12-16 fruits even under adverse growing conditions. It has strong resistance to viral and bacterial diseases of solanaceous crops, including resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus (strain 0). The pepper is suitable for fresh consumption, home cooking, freezing, and processing. Due to its excellent taste and firm flesh, it is especially well-suited for grilling.
