Bell pepper GELBY F1

Consistent Yields: The Potential of Gelbi F1

Czech breeding house Semo is known for prioritizing reliability, and the Gelbi F1 hybrid is no exception. This mid-early, blocky sweet pepper is an all-around performer that delivers predictable results in both open fields and professional glass greenhouses. The main objective this hybrid achieves is producing high-quality, market-ready yields with an attractive color and standard sizing within a short timeframe of 65–75 days.

Agronomy and Practical Use

Gelbi F1 is designed for growers who supply local markets with high-quality fresh produce. Thanks to its adaptability to various growing conditions, farmers utilize it in two main scenarios:

• Glass and Plastic Greenhouses: The hybrid reaches its maximum yield potential here. The 5–6 mm thick walls offer the perfect balance between juiciness and shelf life, which is critical for logistics and transport.
• Open Field: The hybrid demonstrates high resilience to temperature fluctuations throughout the growing season.

An interesting feature is its ripening dynamic. The fruits exhibit a light-yellow color in the technical maturity stage, shifting to a rich, golden-yellow upon reaching full biological maturity. This allows for flexibility in the harvest schedule, as sales can be targeted at either stage of maturity depending on market demand.

Why Choose Gelbi F1?

Professional growers value this pepper for its predictable fruit geometry. The blocky shape is ideal for packaging, and the 5–6 mm wall thickness is the gold standard for retail and HoReCa segments. The variety is resistant to cracking when basic irrigation and fertilization protocols are maintained. If your goal is to build a consistent supply chain for yellow sweet peppers, the Gelbi F1 by Semo is a reliable tool to add to your agrotechnical arsenal.
