Bell pepper SEMAROH

Czech Breeding for Your Harvest

The Semarog sweet pepper variety from Semo is a classic example of European plant breeding, adapted for consistent productivity in temperate climates. The Czech breeder Semo A.S. is known for its rigorous quality control of genetic material, and this variety represents their commitment to creating a reliable, high-performance crop for growers who prioritize predictable results.

Agronomic Potential and Characteristics

Semarog is a mid-early variety with a vegetation period ranging from 65 to 75 days. This development timeline allows growers to maximize the season both in open fields and in plastic tunnels, where the crop fully reaches its potential. The key parameters of the fruit make it an attractive option for both fresh market sales and processing:

• Fruit Type: neatly shaped conical peppers.
• Color Evolution: shifts from deep green at technical maturity to a vibrant red at biological ripeness.
• Flesh: 3–4 mm wall thickness provides optimal density and a marketable appearance, which is essential for successful transportation.

Farmers often choose this variety due to its plasticity and resilience. Thanks to its tolerance of varying growing conditions, Semarog demonstrates excellent fruit setting even under minor temperature fluctuations. It is a dependable choice for those seeking time-tested Czech genetics to secure a consistent harvest of tasty, aromatic sweet peppers.
