GALATEA — mid-early sweet pepper variety, intended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary plastic coverings. Plants are medium-height, reaching 75–80 cm, with up to 10 large fruits forming on each plant. Fruits have prism-shaped form, slightly ribbed and drooping, colored light green in technical ripeness, and acquiring yellow-orange hue in biological ripeness. Fruit mass ranges from 110 to 150 g, wall thickness varies from 6 to 8 mm, ensuring juicy and sweet flavor.
The variety is characterized by high yield — up to 6.5–7 kg per square meter, making it attractive for large-scale production. GALATEA exhibits high resistance to diseases, contributing to stable and prolonged fruiting. Additionally, fruits withstand transportation well, expanding their market potential for long-distance distribution.
GALATEA pepper is versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and culinary processing. Due to its taste qualities and market appearance, the variety is popular among gardeners and producers aiming to obtain high-quality and flavorful harvests.
