Canyon

Canyon pepper is a mid-early variety with a compact, upright bush reaching 60-75 cm in height. The fruits are conical, have thick walls (5-7 mm) and weigh up to 120-140 g. The fruits are a deep red color, making them attractive for both fresh consumption and canning.

The Canyon variety is grown using seedlings. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1-2 cm, and seedlings emerge within 5-7 days at a temperature of +13°C, with an optimal growth temperature of +20-30°C. Seedlings are transplanted when they reach a height of 20-25 cm and are 60-65 days old, when soil temperature reaches +10-12°C and there is no risk of frost. The recommended planting density is 3.5-5.5 plants per square meter.

The variety is sensitive to low temperatures, light, and moisture levels, so it requires cultivation on light, fertile soils with a pH of 6.0-6.6. Due to its characteristics, Canyon is suitable for use both in technical and biological ripeness, expanding its application for fresh consumption and canning.
