Burshtin

Sweet pepper variety Burshtin — an early-maturing variety with a vegetation period of 110-115 days, prized for its large, juicy, deep orange fruits. The plant is medium-sized, reaching 75 to 95 cm in height, bushy, with sparse foliage and fruits arranged in a mixed pattern. Fruits are conical with a smooth surface, averaging 90-110 grams in weight, with wall thickness varying from 6 to 8 mm. At biological maturity, peppers acquire a beautiful burshtin hue, making them attractive to consumers.

This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers, expanding its adaptability to various climatic conditions. The plant grows well on vertical trellises, facilitating care and harvest. Under proper agronomic practices, one square meter can yield up to 7 kilograms of harvest, indicating the variety’s high productivity.

For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown in late February to early March, with transplanting at the cotyledon or first- to second-true-leaf stage. Transplanting into the ground is conducted at the end of May, using a planting scheme of 30×40 or 40×30 cm. Plant shaping includes removing lateral branches and leaves up to the first fork, promoting better development of main fruits and improving their quality. Burshtin pepper is distinguished by its excellent taste and versatile use in cooking.
