Description

Behemoth Pepper — a mid-early variety, distinguished by high yield and universal use. The plant is semi-spreading, medium height with a compact semi-shrub form. Leaves are medium-sized, green, and slightly wrinkled. Fruits have a cube-like shape with a drooping apex, strong gloss, and weigh from 120 to 350 grams. Fruit wall thickness is 7-8 mm, ensuring their fleshiness and juiciness. In technical ripeness, fruits are dark green, and in biological ripeness — deep red.

Behemoth variety is suitable for cultivation both indoors and in gardens. It prefers sunny spots with light, fertile, and neutral pH soils. For planting, the seedling method is recommended: seeds are sown in February into seedling trays with soil mix at a depth of no more than 1 cm, then trays are covered with plastic or glass and placed in a warm location at 23-25°C for germination. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground in early June with an interval of 40x40 cm.

Behemoth pepper responds well to infrequent but abundant watering with warm water and positively reacts to nitrogen fertilizers. It can be grown after crops such as carrots, cabbage, beets, legumes, and cucurbits. Maturation period is about 120 days, and marketable fruit yield reaches 1.2 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for gardeners and farmers seeking high-quality and flavorful harvests.
