Description Amber
Sweet pepper variety Amber is an early-maturing variety with a vegetation period of 100 to 115 days, allowing harvest as early as mid-summer. The plant is medium-height, reaching 75–95 cm, with a semi-spreading form and moderate leafiness. Plants are suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings, as well as thriving on vertical trellises. Seedlings are recommended for planting, with sowing in early March and transplanting at the 1–2 true leaf stage, following a planting scheme of 40×30 cm. The Amber variety produces large, conical or cube-shaped fruits with smooth surfaces, weighing from 90 to 220 grams depending on description. In technical maturity, they are dark green, and in biological maturity, they acquire a rich amber or orange hue. The fleshy walls are 6–8 mm thick, ensuring juiciness and excellent taste. Yield reaches 3–7 kg per square meter with proper care. Peppers are versatile for use: suitable for fresh consumption, stuffing, freezing, and canning. Special attention during cultivation of the Amber variety is given to agronomy: after transplanting into a greenhouse, side shoots and lower leaves should be removed until the first fork, and plants should be tied to supports for better growth. Avoid planting near hot pepper varieties to prevent cross-pollination and maintain the sweet flavor of the fruits. Due to its characteristics and versatility, the Amber variety is an excellent choice for gardeners aiming to obtain an early and high-quality sweet pepper harvest.
