Description VLADIMIR MAYAKOVSKY
Tree peony variety 'Vladimir Mayakovsky' is a sprawling bush about 100 cm tall with green leaves and sturdy peduncles. The flowers are single, non-double, bowl-shaped, 18-20 cm in diameter, and colored red-purple with a characteristic black pigment spot at the base of the petals. The stamen filaments and anthers have red-purple and yellow shades, respectively, while the bottle-shaped staminodial disk is white. Flowering begins around May 20 and reaches its mass peak by May 25. The flower aroma is moderate, and the coloration remains without burning out in the sun. This peony variety is distinguished by high decorative appeal and resistance to diseases and pests, making it an excellent choice for greening and decorating gardens. It also possesses heat resistance and drought resistance, allowing for successful cultivation in various climate conditions of the temperate zone. The variety has average winter hardiness, which should be taken into account when choosing a planting site. Peony 'Vladimir Mayakovsky' is ideal for creating living fences and decorative compositions in the garden. The seeds of this variety are of high quality and intended for open ground planting, ensuring good yield and an attractive appearance of the plant. Thanks to its characteristics and impressive flowering, this peony will become a bright accent in any garden landscape.
