Tulip Hatsuzakura

Durability and Aesthetics of Darwin Hybrids

The 'Natsuzakura' cultivar is a top-tier choice for professionals looking for a balance between traditional tulip form and a unique color palette. As a Darwin hybrid, this variety offers remarkable resistance to spring temperature fluctuations, simplifying greenhouse management and field operations. Its mid-season flowering profile makes it a strategic asset for optimizing harvest schedules between early and late varieties.

Field Performance and Maintenance

Visually, 'Natsuzakura' is distinguished by its sophisticated color transition, blending deep lilac with crisp white tones. The medium height of the stem enhances operational convenience: the sturdy peduncles hold the heavy blooms reliably without the need for additional support systems, reducing overall labor and maintenance costs compared to taller, more fragile varieties.

• Resilience: Excellent adaptation to both open-field conditions and greenhouse production.
• Maintenance: Requires standard fertilization protocols with high natural disease resistance, minimizing chemical inputs.
• Utility: The petal density ensures excellent longevity after cutting, making it highly desirable for the premium floral market.

Proper drainage is essential for 'Natsuzakura' to maintain the clarity of its lilac pigments. By managing soil moisture effectively, growers can ensure consistent, high-quality output. Ultimately, 'Natsuzakura' functions as a robust, low-maintenance workhorse that delivers high market value through both its aesthetic appeal and structural durability.
