Peony Chumatskyi Shliakh

Breeding Excellence by the Gryshko National Botanical Garden

The 'Chumatskyi Shliakh' peony is a refined product of the breeding program at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. Unlike imported varieties, this peony has been specifically selected for resilience within the regional temperate zone, making it a reliable choice for local landscape architecture.

Technical Specifications and Plant Architecture

• Cultivar Type: Herbaceous peony with high structural integrity.
• Bloom Architecture: Multi-layered petal structure that maintains aesthetic volume throughout the flowering phase.
• Primary Application: Garden decoration, accent planting, and low-maintenance landscape design.

The technical brilliance of 'Chumatskyi Shliakh' lies in its stalk density. The plant's architecture is engineered to support heavy blooms while maintaining a vertical stance, effectively eliminating the need for invasive staking systems during the flowering season. Its root system is specifically adapted to endure regional winter temperature fluctuations, ensuring consistent regrowth year after year.

Optimal site selection should prioritize well-draining loamy soils with a neutral pH profile. The variety exhibits superior physiological stability, allowing it to withstand regional meteorological challenges while maintaining its structural form. For practitioners, this cultivar represents a balance between high-end ornamental quality and practical durability.
