Tulip Boccherini

Professional choice for late-season production

The 'Boccherini' tulip, part of the Triumph group, is engineered for commercial growers who prioritize durability and aesthetic uniformity. Its striking lilac petals and high-reaching stem make it a standout in late-season flower markets, but its true agronomic value lies in its exceptional resistance profile.

Key advantages for operational management

• Disease resistance: The variety exhibits strong genetic resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, which is essential for managing soil-borne pathogens in intensive cropping systems.
• Health stability: With proven resistance to Tobacco mosaic virus and Cladosporium, producers can significantly reduce their fungicide application schedule, lowering variable costs and labor time.
• Late-season timing: Its status as a late-blooming variety allows farms to extend their sales window, ensuring a steady supply of high-quality product after the early-season cultivars have cleared the market.

In practice, 'Boccherini' is highly adaptable to both forcing and open-field cultivation. Its robust stem structure provides excellent resistance to lodging, which simplifies field operations such as weeding and mechanical harvesting. When planning planting density, the variety's significant height should be accounted for to ensure proper light penetration and air circulation; this natural airflow is a crucial preventive measure against secondary infections in dense stands, ensuring that the harvested product maintains premium market quality.
