PINK BARREL

The Pear Pink Barrel variety is a late autumn variety with tall or medium-sized trees forming a compact narrow pyramidal crown. This variety was obtained by pollinating form 2-39 with pollen from the Pervenets variety. The trees are characterized by high yield and require pollinators for full fruiting. The skin of the fruits is smooth, dry and dull, with a basic greenish-yellow hue, which at the time of harvest maturity is supplemented by a bright dark pink blush covering a large or small part of the surface. Ripening of fruits occurs from September to November, depending on summer temperatures. The taste of fruits is sour-sweet, with a tasting score of about 4.2–4.3 points, which indicates a good balance of taste qualities.
