PUTNIK

The Putnik peach is a mid-season universal variety known for its high yield and good winter hardiness. The tree is of medium size with a semi-upright or uniform crown, reaching a height of about 3-3.5 meters. The variety is resistant to major diseases such as powdery mildew and leaf curl, and can withstand low temperatures down to -24.6 °C, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

Putnik peach fruits are oval or slightly flattened in shape, with bright yellow skin covered with a red blush that covers from 40% to the entire fruit surface. Fruit mass is approximately 100-120 grams. The flesh is juicy, light, fibrous, with high sugar content (about 12.2%) and low acidity (0.46%), giving the fruits a pleasant sweet taste and pronounced aroma. The pit is small and easily separates from the flesh, facilitating consumption and processing of the fruits.

The Putnik variety begins bearing fruit 3-4 years after planting and is characterized by high yield, reaching an average of 116.1 centners per hectare. The peach is self-fertile, however, to improve fruiting, it is recommended to plant it alongside other peach varieties. The fruits withstand transportation well, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation and sale.
