This variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of an unknown origin cherry. Originator — All-Russian Selection and Technology Institute of Horticulture and Nursery. Authors: A.A. Borisova, V.I. Kashin. Introduced into the State Register in 2002 for the Central region.
Medium-sized tree with thick, straight one-year branches. Compact, pyramidal crown. Leaves are large, with sharply pointed apex, shiny. Leaf margin is serrated-toothed. Stipules are large.
Fruits weighing up to 7 g, round, yellow with bright red covering coloration. Flesh is yellow, crisp, juice is colorless. Pit cavity is absent, ventral suture is absent. Fruit appearance rating is 4 points, taste is sweet, tasting evaluation is 4.6 points. Stone is medium-sized, oval, average detachment from flesh. Poor detachment of pedicel from branch, good detachment from stone.
Average ripening period (fruits ripen 7 days earlier than variety Fatеж). Winter-hardy, weakly affected by diseases.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, resistance to fungal diseases, compact crown type.
Disadvantages of the variety: poor detachment of pedicel from branch.
