This variety was developed at the Institute of Irrigated Horticulture named after M.F. Sidorenko of the UAAN by breeders N.I. Turovtsev and V.A. Turovtseva from crossing varieties Drogana yellow and Valeriy Chkalov in 1972. It entered state variety trials in 1995.
The tree is medium-sized and fast-growing. The crown is spreading with medium density. It begins to bear fruit in the 4th year after planting in the orchard. The main fruiting occurs on bouquet branches. The bark on the trunk is smooth and brown. Shoots are thick, arched, and brown. Pods are large and white. Leaves are large, elliptical, long-pointed, dark green, smooth, and matte. The leaf blade is concave like a boat and curved downward. The leaf apex is sharply pointed. The base is rounded. Pubescence is absent. The leaf margin is serrated. Petioles are short, deeply divided, and early falling. The petiole is medium-sized, thick, and pigmented. Stigmas are large, oval, and colored. Inflorescence is a compound umbel with medium-sized, white flowers.
Fruits are large, average fruit weight 8.5 g. The fruit shape is round-heart-shaped. The fruit apex is rounded, the base has a depression. The cavity is medium-sized and wide. The ventral suture is small and barely noticeable. The pedicel is medium-sized and easily separates from the branch. Attachment to the stone is weak. Fruit color is dark red. Numerous gray, barely noticeable lenticels are present. The skin is medium-thick, smooth, and easily peels off. The flesh is dark red, juicy, melting, semi-fibrous. The cavity color is uniform with the flesh. The juice is dark red. Flavor is sour-sweet. Sensory evaluation score 4.8 points. Fruits contain 11.7% dry matter, 7.5% sugars, 0.54% acids, and 7.0 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Stone weighs 0.4 g, easily separates from flesh, round, smooth. Fruit transportability is good. Variety is of universal use.
Fruits ripen June 12-15. Average yield of the variety at 16 years of age is 73.0 kg per tree.
