This variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of a mixed cherry variety from Donetsk from open pollination. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection. Authors: A.F. Kolesnikova, E.N. Dzhigadlo, A.A. Gulyaeva, Z.E. Ozheryelova. Introduced into the State Register in 2001 for the Central Chernozem region.
Medium-growing tree, up to 3.5 m tall, pyramidal, flat, raised, medium density. Shoots medium, straight, brown, without pubescence. Bark on trunk and main branches smooth, gray. Bud 5.0 mm, conical shape, strongly deviated from the shoot. Leaf oval, dark green. Apex strongly pointed, base notched, leaf margin doubly toothed. Leaf blade surface shiny, flat. Stipules 3-4, located at the base of the leaf blade and on the petiole. Petiole: length 49 mm, thickness 2.9 mm, with anthocyanin coloration along the entire length. Number of flowers in inflorescence 3. Corolla diameter 27.8 mm. Petals white, loosely arranged. Stigma positioned higher relative to stamens. Stigma length 7.5 mm, stamen length 7.5 mm. Calyx narrowly bell-shaped, no toothed sepals. Fruits set on cluster branches and last year’s growth.
Fruits weighing 5.5 g, heart-shaped, height 23 mm, width 18.2 mm, thickness 14.3 mm. Fruit depression medium, apex rounded. Fruits yellow with dark red covering coloration. Pit egg-shaped, mass 0.4 g, accounting for 7.3% of fruit mass, light yellow. Pit separates easily from flesh. Fruits attractive in appearance (4.6 points), flesh creamy, dense, firm, tart-sweet, excellent taste. Juice colorless. Sensory evaluation of fresh fruits 4.8 points. Fruits contain soluble solids — 17.8%, sugars — 12.4%, acids — 0.44%. Fruit detachment from pedicel dry. Fruits resistant to cracking. Dessert variety.
Flowering in medium late period (May 10-15). Fruit ripening medium — in the second decade of July, simultaneous. Self-sterile. Yield medium 68.6 c/ha, maximum 111.2 c/ha. Tree longevity high with standard cultivation practices.
Moderate winter hardiness of wood and flower buds. Moderate drought resistance. Relatively resistant to coccomycosis and moniliosis.
Advantages: yield, excellent fruit quality.
Disadvantages: moderate winter hardiness.
