Peach PIZHON

Technical Profile of the "Pijon" Peach

Developed by the N.V. Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden of the RAS, the "Pijon" peach represents a specialized solution for intensive horticulture, designed to minimize operational costs while maintaining high commercial yields. The core genetic advantage of this variety is its dwarf growth habit, which allows for high-density planting schemes without the risks of canopy overcrowding or reduced yield per hectare.

Engineering and Biological Specifications

• Canopy Architecture: The low-vigor growth type simplifies pruning cycles, reduces the need for manual labor during orchard management, and facilitates equipment access for spraying and harvesting operations.
• Biological Defense Mechanism: The genetically ingrained resistance to leaf curl is a critical driver of profitability. This trait significantly lowers the fungicide demand, effectively eliminating multiple chemical treatment cycles during the spring growth phase.
• Fruit Technology: The firm flesh texture ensures exceptional shelf life and transportability, which are fundamental requirements for the industrial supply chain. This structural integrity is paired with a distinct sweet flavor, ensuring high marketability for fresh produce sales.

"Pijon" exhibits performance consistency, making it a robust selection for agricultural enterprises prioritizing standardized fruit size, color uniformity, and high-density orchard management.
