Description ES METRONOM
The hybrid sweet corn ES Metronom is a mid-early variety with a vegetative period of approximately 100-119 days depending on the growing region. The plant is tall or very tall with narrow or medium-wide leaves and a straight leaf forming a small angle with the stem. The ear is of medium length and thickness, cylindrical in shape, with intermediate-type kernels closer to starchy, the top part of the kernel is yellow-orange, the bottom part is orange. Anthocyanin root coloration at the stem is medium-strong, and silk coloration is weak or absent. ES Metronom exhibits high resistance to adverse conditions, including drought, lodging, and several diseases such as fusarium, helminthosporium, blister, and ear rot. The hybrid has a strong root system and high compensatory ability, ensuring adaptability to various soils and climatic conditions. In field conditions, the variety shows weak infection by fusarium and mold on ears, increasing yield reliability. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation both for grain and silage, making it a versatile choice for agricultural enterprises. Average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 78.4 c/ha, and in the Lower Volga region — 53.6 c/ha. Seed material is supplied by French breeders, ensuring its quality and competitive pricing.
