Originator — Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuriev, NAAN.
Variety distinguishing features. Variety — contecstum (linked), subvariety — mesomelan (black seed hilum).
Seedless (hairy), semi-dwarf type. Plant height — 65-80 cm, internodes to first inflorescence — 12-14. Flowers white, 2-3 flowers per pedicel. Pods shelled type, medium size, slightly curved. Seed count per pod 4-5. Seeds rose-colored, with black seed hilum.
Agronomic characteristics. Grain use variety, medium-maturing. 1000 seed mass 250-270 g. Protein content in grain 20-23%. Drought-tolerant. Resistant to lodging, suitable for direct combine harvesting, requires timely harvest.
High yield of the variety — 5.18 t / ha — obtained in 2005 at Man'kovsky DSS of Cherkasy Oblast. In 2008, at Volnyansk DSS of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a yield of 3.58 t / ha was obtained. In steppe Crimea, during 2007-2010, the average yield of the variety was 2.00 t / ha, maximum yield — 3.11 t / ha — was recorded in 2008 and 2010.
In production conditions at LLC «Pobeda» of Fastovsky District, Kyiv Oblast, in 2012, a yield of 3.85 t / ha was obtained.
Since 2007, the variety «Effect» has been included in the Russian Federation Register (A.S. № 42324).
