White Opera

White Opera F1 onion is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid of white long-day onion, developed by the Italian seed company Cora Seeds. The vegetative period is approximately 112-118 days from emergence, allowing it to be grown both in open ground and on various soil types under different climatic conditions. The plant is strong and vigorous, resistant to adverse growing conditions and major onion diseases, reducing the need for intensive care.

White Opera onion bulbs have a round shape with a slender neck, medium or large size, weighing 150 to 300 grams. The outer scales are dense and white, while the inner ones are fleshy and juicy. The onion has a semi-pungent, pleasant, and moderately sweet flavor, making it versatile for use both fresh and after thermal processing. The hybrid is characterized by high transportability and long storage life, maintaining its attractive appearance and rich flavor for an extended period.

For optimal cultivation, plant with a spacing of approximately 10 cm between plants and 20 cm between rows. Spring planting depth is 3-5 cm, while fall planting depth is 6-10 cm. White Opera onion is successfully grown in Ukraine and many other countries, demonstrating high product quality. For extra-class yield, it is recommended to prune the root system when 30-40% of the leaves have fallen, which enhances the quality of the harvest.
