Onion WHITE ROCK F1

Premium quality and reliability: Why White Rock F1 stands out

The White Rock F1 (CRX 1538) hybrid from the German company Agri-Saaten is a targeted selection for growers who prioritize consistent marketability and disease resistance. In the white onion segment, root system vulnerability is a frequent pain point; however, the developers of this hybrid have focused on robust resistance against pink root rot, which significantly mitigates risks in soil-intensive agricultural environments.

Agronomic performance and key characteristics

White Rock F1 is a medium-day variety with a maturity window of 110–120 days, making it a reliable performer across various climate zones. Its key features include:

• Consistent Sizing: The bulbs are uniform, ranging from 200 to 250 grams, meeting the precise standards required by both modern retailers and large-scale processors.
• Flavor Profile: Known for its mild, savory taste, it excels as a salad onion, which enhances its commercial appeal and liquidity.
• Visual Appeal: The crisp white interior and matching outer scales provide the premium appearance that consumers demand.

While the hybrid is highly effective for industrial processing, its real strength lies in its versatility. The perfectly round shape ensures maximum efficiency during automated peeling and slicing, saving operational time and reducing waste.

Who is this hybrid for?

White Rock F1 is designed for professional growers focused on high-quality output. If your fields are prone to soil-borne pathogens, this variety acts as a crucial tool for reducing pesticide reliance. When cultivated with proper agronomic care, it offers impressive scale density, ensuring good shelf life for a white onion variety. Growers should focus on effective post-harvest drying, as this is the single most important factor in maintaining the quality of white onion cultivars of this caliber.
