Onion Fabula

Fabula F1 Red Winter Onion is an early-maturing hybrid red winter onion developed by breeders of Hazera (Netherlands) and Isi Sementi (Italy). The vegetative period of this variety is approximately 250-265 days, allowing harvest as early as 90-95 days after emergence. The plant is characterized by high productivity, a well-developed root system, and cold resistance, enabling cultivation without additional covering. Fabula F1 does not produce flower stalks, which promotes the formation of large, uniform bulbs.

The bulbs of the Fabula variety have a round shape, with an average weight ranging from 140 to 160 grams and a diameter varying between 65-75 mm. The outer scales are bright lilac-violet, dense, and glossy, providing reliable protection for the fruit from damage. The inner scales are thick, succulent, juicy, and have a pleasant taste, making this onion an excellent ingredient for fresh salads. Additionally, onion is a valuable source of vitamins, microelements, and essential oils beneficial for the human body.

The variety is low-maintenance, well-tolerates stressful conditions, and resistant to common diseases such as fusarium and pink rot. The recommended planting density is up to 1-1.2 million seeds per hectare, with sowing to be conducted in the second half of August in prepared soil. Fabula F1 does not require top-dressing after harvest and prefers sunny areas without waterlogging, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
