SPANISH 313 is a late-maturing variety of onion, bred at the Biryuchukutskaya Vegetable Breeding Experimental Station and recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions, as well as in Ukraine and Moldova. The bulbs have a round or round-flat shape, weighing from 99 to 150 grams. Dry skins are light yellow, sometimes with a pinkish tint, while juicy parts are white, possibly with a greenish tint. The onion flavor combines sweet and semi-spicy notes with a slight spiciness, making it versatile for various culinary purposes.

The variety is characterized by good commercial yield, reaching from 2.4 to 4.6 kg per square meter, and high transportability and storability, ensuring convenient storage and transport. The onion is cold-resistant and disease-resistant, but susceptible to powdery mildew. Cultivation is recommended both in open and closed ground with sowing in March-April and harvest in July-August. Timely watering, fertilization, and soil loosening are necessary for optimal growth.

SPANISH 313 is suitable for mechanized harvesting and is grown in a three-year culture with a planting density of about 250 per square meter. The period from germination to technical maturity is from 110 to 139 days.
