Onion Vares F1

Vares F1 is a mid-season long-day onion hybrid that forms bulbs in one season when sown directly into open ground. The maturation period is approximately 102-115 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The bulbs are round with a bright yellow-brown skin and white, non-bitter flesh. Bulb size ranges from 4 to 7 cm, with weight from 130 to 300 grams, sometimes up to 800 grams. High dry matter content and dense outer scales ensure excellent storability and long-term storage, nearly until the next harvest.

The hybrid features a strong root system and high bulb density, which contributes to resistance to mechanical harvesting and good market appearance. Vares F1 is well-adapted to various weather conditions and resistant to major diseases such as basal rot, false powdery mildew, and root rot. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation across all of Ukraine and Moldova.

Vares F1 is recommended for fresh consumption, processing, and long-term storage. For sowing, the recommended rate is 4-8 grams per square meter, with planting depth around 3 cm and spacing of 1x10 cm.
