Wild cabbage Parel F1

Consistent Yields in Early Markets

Working with Dutch genetics from Bejo, farmers rely on predictability, and Parel F1 is the benchmark for ultra-early white cabbage. Planting starts with a calculated expectation, and the 50-60 days to maturity is not just a marketing claim—it is a realistic timeline for reaching the market. This hybrid is forgiving with agricultural practices, maintaining excellent head quality even during minor temperature fluctuations.

Field Performance and Market Appeal

Parel F1 produces round, dense heads with an attractive grey-green color that stands out on the shelves. A head weight of 1.0-2.0 kg is perfect for retail customers; it is easy to handle and doesn't sit too long in the consumer's fridge. With a recommended plant density of 50,000-60,000 plants/ha, the field load is balanced, making maintenance and harvesting efficient.

Durability and Storage

For early cabbage, the ability to hold in the field if the market softens is critical. Parel F1 offers an impressive storage potential of 3-6 months, which is quite unique for this segment. The crop is highly uniform, ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum whether harvesting manually or mechanically. If you are looking for a hybrid that minimizes risk and produces high-quality yields in a short window, Bejo Parel F1 is an essential tool for any grower.
