Onion GOLDEN SUMMER

The 'GOLDEN SUMMER' onion variety is a mid-season bulb onion with a maturation period of about 130 days. The bulbs have a round shape and weigh from 70 to 100 grams, featuring a thin neck and beautiful golden-yellow dry skins. The flesh is juicy, white in color, with a semi-green onion or semi-sharp taste, making this variety versatile for fresh consumption as well as culinary processing, including steaming, frying, and canning. The onion is rich in vitamins C and B group, as well as minerals such as magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, and zinc. The variety is characterized by high yield, which significantly exceeds the indicators of standard varieties. Commercial yield ranges from 190 to 246 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators reaching 665 centners per hectare. Bulb maturity before harvest reaches 75%, and post-harvest ripening reaches 98%, ensuring a high-quality and stable yield. The onion stores well throughout the winter period, retaining its taste and nutritional qualities until May, with minimal losses during storage—only 5-15%. 'GOLDEN SUMMER' is recommended for growing in a one-year culture from seeds, which allows obtaining large and beautiful bulbs with high commercial value. Due to its resistance to diseases and excellent yield preservation, this variety is a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners seeking a quality product with a long shelf life and a wide range of culinary applications.
