Onion PATRIARCH

Crop Stability: Working with the Patriarch Variety

For a farmer focused on the fresh produce market, selecting seed material is always a balance between potential yield and technical efficiency. The white salad onion "Patriarch" from Ooo Agroplaneta has proven to be a solution that ensures stability in the mid-late maturity segment. A maturity period of 120–130 days allows for precise harvesting schedule planning, which is critical for operations with large land areas.

Cultivation and Mechanization

The main advantage of "Patriarch" is its responsiveness to agronomic practices. With proper planting density and efficient irrigation, the variety consistently delivers the stated 70–90 tons per hectare. The bulbs have a perfect round shape and a firm structure, which minimizes damage rates when handled by a harvester. Given current labor shortages, this translates into significant economic savings.

Product Quality and Marketability

The snow-white scales and mild salad flavor make this onion highly sought after by both consumers and retail chains. Importantly, the variety showed predictable storage behavior, provided that rapid drying is performed after mechanized collection. Working with seeds originated by the German breeding school Satimex Quedlinburg, Svetlana Leonidovna Glebova, and Hartmut Klein ensures crop purity and high germination rates, minimizing the need for reseeding.

• High yield potential: 70–90 t/ha.
• Fully adapted to intensive cultivation and machine harvesting.
• Snow-white color and premium visual appeal.
• Stable quality when irrigation schedules are maintained.
