Description Kapriz
The Capriz onion is a perennial plant that can grow in the same place for 3-4 years. This medium-late maturing variety is characterized by high frost resistance and can withstand spring frosts, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The green mass of the onion starts growing actively in early spring and persists until late autumn, ensuring a long harvest period.

The leaves of the Capriz onion are dark green, flat, lanceolate in shape, and have a medium-intensity waxy coating. Their length reaches 50 cm, and their width is about 1.2 cm. On one stem, 6 to 8 leaves form, with a total mass of 35-55 grams. The taste of the leaves is mildly sharp with a slight garlic aroma, giving dishes a special zest. The leaves are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and canning.

For successful cultivation of the Capriz variety, it is recommended to choose sunny areas with fertile and loose soil. Sowing seeds is carried out in late April - early May, and the first harvest can be obtained by early July. During the season, 2-3 leaf cuts are possible, which allows obtaining up to 1.5 kg of harvest from one square meter per one cut. The onion is propagated by seeds and bush division, which ensures convenience and efficiency in plant care.
