Leek variety 'Goliet' is a late-maturing variety with a vegetation period from germination to the first leaf cutting, lasting 155-165 days. This variety features upright green leaves, the edible portion of which reaches 40-45 centimeters in length. The average plant weight can reach up to 100 grams, making it convenient for culinary use.
Goliet exhibits high cold resistance and can withstand temperatures down to -7 °C, allowing it to be grown both in open ground and in greenhouses. Thanks to these qualities, leek is suitable for summer and autumn harvests, ensuring a stable and high-quality product under various climatic conditions.
Sowing seedlings is recommended from late February, and transplanting seedlings should occur in the second half of March. For optimal growth and development, plants should be spaced 30 cm apart with 15 cm between rows. The variety is produced by Moravoseed in Czech Republic, guaranteeing high seed quality and compliance with cultivation standards.
