Description Danko
Danko leek variety is an early-maturing type with a vegetation period of 130 to 150 days. The plant forms long, flat green leaves and a thickened pseudostem 19-23 cm long and about 2.5 cm in diameter. A distinctive feature of this variety is the pseudostem's ability to accumulate vitamin C during storage, enhancing its nutritional value.

The Danko variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, including relative resistance to downy mildew, as well as winter and cold hardiness. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The plant is robust, reaching a height of 52-55 cm, which contributes to the formation of large bulbs.

Danko leek is recommended for fresh consumption, especially in salads, due to its juicy flesh with minimal seeds and pleasant aftertaste. The bulbs have a heart-shaped form and large size, with individual weights reaching 300-500 g. The yield of this variety reaches up to 7 kg per plant, making it attractive for gardeners and farmers.
