Onion Daytona F1

The Daytona F1 onion is a medium-early hybrid of bulb onion, developed by the Dutch breeding company Bejo Zaden. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and is suitable for cultivation in open ground under various climatic conditions and on different soil types. Harvesting begins 103-115 days after emergence, allowing for a high-quality product to be obtained relatively quickly. The bulbs have a round shape, dense structure, and rich golden color with attractive outer scales, while the inner scales are succulent and crisp.

One of the key features of Daytona F1 is its high resistance to diseases such as downy mildew, fusarium, and root rot. The plants have a strong root system, which ensures good growth vigor and allows the hybrid to successfully withstand stressful conditions, including prolonged drought and temperature fluctuations. Thanks to this, the onion maintains high quality and market appearance for an extended storage period — up to 7-8 months.

The hybrid demonstrates high yield potential, reaching 50-70 tons per hectare when agronomic requirements are met. Bulb weight varies from 60 to 100 grams depending on growing conditions.
