Description Goliat
Goliat onion is a medium-early or medium-maturing variety with a maturation period of 105 to 115 days. The plant is robust, with a well-developed and large leafy rosette, tall, elongated, upright leaves covered with a dense waxy coating. The bulbs are round-elongated or oval in shape, with golden scales, dense and juicy, with white flesh and a pronounced sharp taste. The average bulb weight ranges from 150 to 180 grams, usually around 160 grams.

The Goliat variety is distinguished by high yield and low maintenance requirements, well-adapted to various climatic conditions and soil types. It is resistant to rot and does not bolt, ensuring long-term storage of onions — up to 7 months under home conditions and until spring without loss of quality. Due to these properties, the variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including cooking and marinating.

Goliat onion is also well-suited for mechanized harvest, simplifying its cultivation on large areas. Its vigorous root system and leafy rosette contribute to good plant development and high-quality produce. This variety is valued for its combination of flavor, long-term storage, and versatility in culinary and food industry applications.
