Goliat onion is a medium-early or medium-maturing variety with a maturation period of 105 to 115 days. The plant is robust, with a well-developed and large leafy rosette, tall, elongated, upright leaves covered with a dense waxy coating. The bulbs are round-elongated or oval in shape, with golden scales, dense and juicy, with white flesh and a pronounced sharp taste. The average bulb weight ranges from 150 to 180 grams, usually around 160 grams.

The Goliat variety is distinguished by high yield and low maintenance requirements, well-adapted to various climatic conditions and soil types. It is resistant to rot and does not bolt, ensuring long-term storage of onions — up to 7 months under home conditions and until spring without loss of quality. Due to these properties, the variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including cooking and marinating.
