Description KYURA
KYURA is a mid-ripening spring variety of oats (Avena sativa L.) of the mutica type, intended for grain-forage use. The plants are of medium height, with strong, well-leafed stems and lodging resistance, ensuring high yield and reliability during cultivation. The vegetative period is 71-75 days, allowing the variety to be used in various climatic zones, including the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions. KYURA is characterized by high drought tolerance and tolerance to soil acidity, which expands its cultivation possibilities on various soil types.

The grain of the variety is characterized by a medium mass of 1000 grains ranging from 26 to 40 grams and high protein content — from 10.3% to 14%, making it a valuable component in legume-cereal mixes. Grain nativity is within 443-472 g/l, and increased hulling (22-24%) contributes to quality preservation during storage and processing. The panicle is large, semi-closed or semi-one-sided with semi-erect branch arrangement, glume of medium length with a waxy coating, and awniness is weakly expressed, which facilitates harvesting and reduces grain losses.

The KYURA variety possesses high resistance to major oat diseases, such as loose smut, powdery mildew, and root rots, which significantly reduces the need for applying chemical protection means. The potential yield of the variety exceeds 70 c/ha, and under favorable conditions can reach over 80 c/ha. Due to its agronomic characteristics and grain quality, KYURA is a reliable and productive choice for farmers focused on obtaining high-quality grain and green mass.
